Throughout my life I've recorded with a VCR, DVR, and the device with a hard drive to watch programs, while another. This is due to use of the good old cable. Now I'm on Dish Network and they say: I can record my own way shows that vote I have ever seen! They say I buy a DVR from them and pay 13 dollars a month to do such a thing easy to use! Is there a way around it, a possibility that my own VCR or digital recorder to record one channel while watching another? Why can not I hear other people screaming about this? Thank you.
